Overview

StopBy is designed so that your data never leaves your phone. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your information.

Location

StopBy asks for "Always" location access for exactly one purpose: to notice, in the background, when your device is near a place you saved, so it can show you a local notification. Location processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's geofencing technology. Your location is never recorded, stored as a history, or transmitted anywhere.

Your Places and Notes

The places you save, your categories, notes, and visited history are stored locally on your device. We have no access to this information. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Apple Services

When you search for a place or check a route, StopBy uses Apple's MapKit services (search, geocoding, and directions). Those requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; StopBy adds no identifiers to them.

Notifications

All notifications are generated locally on your device. There are no push notification servers.

Children's Privacy

StopBy does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. The app contains no features that require personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By downloading or using StopBy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

StopBy is a location-based reminder application that lets you save places and receive notifications when you are near them. The app is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.

Use While Driving

Never interact with StopBy while driving. Notifications are informational; always follow traffic laws and pay attention to the road. Route information is provided by Apple's mapping services and may not reflect current conditions.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• The places and information you choose to save
• Using the app safely and lawfully

Limitation of Liability

Location-based notifications are best-effort and depend on your device, iOS, and environmental factors; delivery is not guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, blacknoise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app, including missed or delayed notifications.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
